Prateek Yadav dies: From Rs 5 crore Lamborghini, luxury gyms to real estate empire, a look at his lavish lifestyle

The 38-year-old Prateek Yadav, the younger son of Samajwadi Party founder the late Mulayam Singh Yadav and stepbrother of party president Akhilesh Yadav, died at a civil hospital in Lucknow this morning. Though he hailed from a prominent political family, Prateek Yadav was a fitness enthusiast and was active in the real estate business and media reports hinted that his net worth ranged between Rs 5.5 crore and Rs 7 crore in 2024. His annual income was estimated to be around Rs 1.5 crore, according to reports.

However, as per the election affidavit filed by his wife and BJP leader Aparna Yadav, it was revealed that the couple’s movable and immovable assets were valued at around Rs 23 crore. Apart from running his gym, Prateek Yadav also earned significant income through his real estate ventures, which included property dealings, investments, and construction projects.

Prateek Yadav's Lamborghini, fitness business

A successful businessman, Prateek was also known for his love of luxury cars and his collection reportedly included several high-end vehicles, among them a Lamborghini worth nearly ₹5 crore. In 2015, Prateek Yadav had launched his flagship gym business, Iron Core Fit, and later on, the brand saw a major expansion with several branches. He was also the owner of “The Fitness Planet”, a well-known gym in the city and his Instagram post suggests his inclination towards adventurous and sports activities.

The equipment used at 'The Fitness Planet' and its other fitness centres was reportedly imported from Italy and the United States. Annual membership fees were said to be around ₹35,000 per client, catering mainly to customers looking for premium fitness facilities. Apart from owning gyms, Prateek Yadav also provided fitness training, promotional activities, and branding services for several companies.

His real estate business involved property deals, investment planning, and construction projects. Prateek was also active on social media, where he frequently shared workout videos and fitness-related tips, motivating followers to maintain healthy lifestyles and exercise regularly.

What happened to Prateek Yadav?

According to reports, family members of Prateek Yadav brought him to the civil hospital at around 6:15 am, where he was declared 'brought dead'. Aparna Yadav was not present at the time. Prateek Yadav had been experiencing lung problems for quite some time. He was receiving treatment for a blood clot in his lungs. When his health worsened in the morning and he became unresponsive, his family quickly took him to the Civil Hospital.

His relation with Aparna Yadav

Prateek Yadav and Aparna Yadav got married in 2011, and the couple has two children from the marriage. Prateek Yadav had recently made headlines when he announced that he is seeking a divorce from his wife, Aparna Yadav, alleging that she had "ruined his family ties".

In January, Yadav made the announcement in an emotional post on Instagram. He had accused Aparna of being selfish and driven by personal ambition.

"I am going to divorce this selfish woman as soon as possible. She ruined my family ties. All she wants to become is famous and influential," he had said. Prateek further claimed that he is currently struggling with poor mental health and alleged that Aparna showed no concern for his condition. However, just days later, he announced that his relationship with his wife was back on the right track.
