HYDERABAD: It’s no longer a matter of speculation, election strategist and tactician Prashant Kishor has started working for the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government with a secret tour of a district.
On Saturday, IPAC’s PK quietly toured chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s constituency Gajwel. The tour was kept under wraps, but TRS’s new star, actor Prakash Raj, caught the attention of the public during his visit.
During the Gajwel tour, PK wore masks and went around the constituency.
Later PK was noticed with Prakash Raj together when they visited the Mallanna Sagar reservoir works. Officials from the irrigation department showed them around on the reservoir.
They went to the integrated market yard and other construction sites.
According to reports, PK also directly interacted with people and inquired about CM K Chandrasekhar Rao’s rule, how schemes are implemented, or whether people were satisfied. On Sunday, PK met KCR and Prakash Raj.
According to reports, PK’s visit was kept a secret from local TRS representatives also, until Sunday, when details were finally revealed.
According to reports, IPAC teams have conducted surveys in various constituencies, soliciting feedback on MLAs and their performance. There is also speculation that PK was on tour for the past two days and a report on the ground situation will be prepared with inputs from Prakash Raj as well.
After the elections in Goa, PK moved to Telangana. TRS will rely heavily on PK’s team to help face the BJP challenge. According to sources, KCR’s recent statements and trips to other states to form a non-Congress, anti-BJP alliance could also be part of PK’s plan.
While PK and Prakash Raj were on tour for TRS, Shiv Prakash, the BJP’s new man and party’s national organizing secretary for the next assembly elections, was also in the state and interacted with party rank and file.
