'Practised a lot to generate...': Mohammed Siraj on his magical spell

NEW DELHI: After hours of dedicated practice in the nets, honing the skill of making the cricket ball swing in the air and then move away unpredictably after pitching, Mohammed Siraj reaped the rewards. The Indian fast bowler delivered a mesmerising performance, claiming six wickets for just 21 runs against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final in Colombo.

Siraj's exceptional spell included dismissing Pathum Nissanka, Sadeera Samaraiwickrama, Charith Asalanka, and Dhananjaya De Silva in his second over. He later returned to the attack to dismiss the Lankan captain, Dasun Shanaka, with a remarkable delivery that left the batter completely bamboozled.
