- The fraudsters used the proceeds from their scheme to fund a lavish lifestyle, acquiring luxury cars, watches, jewellery, and undertaking worldwide travel.
- Footage showed Bhandari posing with a new £126,000 Porsche shortly before his arrest.
- Bhandari's wife, Meenakashi, was also convicted of money laundering, having used some of the defrauded money to repay her personal debts.
- All three defendants were arrested in February 2023, convicted on 15 July, and are scheduled to be sentenced on 21 August for fraud by false representation and money laundering.
