Poyet hammers 'stupid' AFC ahead of Sydney FC clash

Gus Poyet, manager of South Korean side Jeonbuk Motors, has blasted the Asian Football Confederation as "stupid" and suggested that competing in the Asian Champions League Two is a waste of his club's time. 

The Uruguayan, whose side trail 2-0 on aggregate heading into Thursday's ACL2 quarter-final second leg against Sydney FC at Allianz Stadium, spared no prisoners in his pre-game press conference. 

Poyet was unhappy his side had to conduct pre-match media duties at Sydney's home ground.
