MORE than 100,000 Scottish homes have been reconnected after being left without power in the wake of two named storms. However, thousands more remain cut off with weather warnings still in place.

Since Friday, both Storm Austen and Storm Boelo have hit Scotland, bringing heavy rains, flooding, and winds of up to 80mph. A 60-year-old man was killed by a falling tree in Dumfries and Galloway on Sunday.
