Discount chain Poundland is to sell more goods for £1 or less as it works to help shoppers during the cost of living crisis. It will also focus on the price of single items rather than bulk buys and provide more frozen and chilled foods.
Poundland said that around half of the products it sells at its 850 UK stores are currently priced at a pound. But the Mirror reports this will rise to around 60%.
The further rollout of frozen and chilled foods is linked to more shoppers visiting the chain for their weekly shops. Project Diamond will see the range coming to 100 more shops.
