Potential return dates for Bolton Wanderers trio Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, Josh Sheehan & Lloyd Isgrove

Bolton Wanderers do not have a game this weekend following the decision to postpone football up and down the country after the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Her Majesty passed away on Thursday afternoon at Balmoral in Scotland. She was 96-years-old and the longest reigning British monarch in history, and has now been succeeded by her son, Charles III.

Following the Queen's death, doubts emerged over this weekend's planned action across the EFL in the Championship, League One and League Two. Wanderers had been due to travel to Gloucestershire to take on Cheltenham Town.

Yesterday, it was confirmed that all fixtures this weekend, including Bolton's trip to Cheltenham, have been postponed as a mark of respect. Action is set to recommence on Tuesday, as things stand.

That means a trip to take on MK Dons for the Whites in midweek, ahead of a home clash against Peterborough United next weekend. However, it is unclear if the latter could be affected by plans for the Queen's funeral.

Though Ian Evatt has a near fully fit squad to choose from, there are a few players who have been sidelined thanks to injury. Josh Sheehan has returned from a ruptured ACL in a Papa Johns Trophy clash against Crewe Alex, but is yet to feature in League One this campaign.

Lloyd Isgrove is building up his fitness following hamstring and foot problems, while Jon Dadi Bodvarsson has been out recently with a hamstring problem. Here's the latest Wanderers boss Ian Evatt has had to say about the trio's fitness and we've had a go at predicting when they are likely to be back in action.

Josh Sheehan

What Ian Evatt has said: "We know he is a really good player but I am having to say to him that he might need to slow down, give himself a little more time, make sure his fitness levels are where they need to be to execute what I need him to do in and out of possession.

"With Josh, I still feel he is a week or two away from being ready to be involved in first team games again."

Expected potential return date: Tranmere Rovers, September 20/Barnsley, October 1. ( Potential of Portsmouth game on September 24 being postponed due to international call-ups )

Lloyd Isgrove

What Ian Evatt has said: "I think he can make a really good wing-back, the way our wing-backs play and how we want them to play. But first and foremost we need to get him fully fit again and firing and ready to go.”

Expected potential return date: Tranmere Rovers, September 20.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson

What Ian Evatt has said: “Jon will be back full training on Monday, so he’ll be available next week. I trust Jon so whatever he decides is the best for him, then we’ll back him.”

Expected potential return date: Peterborough United, September 17.
