Police have launched an investigation into a potential hate crime after a man was "dragged along" by a car last week.
A 23-year-old was assaulted in Staple Hill on Thursday, July 7, during which the victim was dragged along by a dark-coloured car for a short distance in High Street sometime between 11.30pm and midnight.
The victim suffered scrapes and grazes as a result of the incident but did not require hospital treatment.

Police are now currently treating the assault as a potential hate crime due to the information provided by the victim.
In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police said: "We want to speak to anyone who saw this incident happen and we’re particularly keen to speak to three witnesses – two men and a woman – who spoke to the victim’s friend and were able to take down a partial number plate."
