Post-Super Bowl power rankings and the NFC West

The 2023 NFL is over and the Kansas City Chiefs are world champions for the second consecutive year after beating the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime.

We look ahead to the offseason but before that, we have some final power rankings.

Where do the teams in the NFC West rank?

Let’s have a look below.

No. 2 - San Francisco 49ers

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Of course they are No. 2. They were in the Super Bowl and lost. where else would they be ranked?

No. 12 - Los Angeles Rams

Jessica Rapfogel-USA TODAY Sports

The Rams come in at No. 12 having made the playoffs with a mix of aging veterans and an influx of a very good rookie class.

No. 19 - Seattle Seahawks

Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

The Seahawks have a new head coach and could be rebuilding. They do have a good young crop of players to build around.

No. 29 - Arizona Cardinals

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

The Cardinals went 4-13 and finished with the fourth pick in the draft. It would make sense for them to be the fourth-worst team in final rankings. That said, they looked like a promising team over the final eight games after Kyler Murray’s return. With him at quarterback, they had a top-10 offense even with basically no one at receiver.
