Post Malone has once again claimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart with his latest album, 'F-1 Trillion.' The album made an impressive debut at No. 1, selling exactly 250,000 equivalent units, marking one of the largest debuts of the year.
This achievement places Post Malone among some of the biggest names in the music industry, with only six albums managing to reach the quarter-million mark in 2024 so far.
While 'F-1 Trillion' had a strong debut, it falls short of Taylor Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Department,' which remains the largest debut of the year with 2.61 million equivalent units. Swift's album continues to perform well, thanks in part to the hit single 'Fortnight,' a collaboration with Malone.
Other notable releases that have made significant debuts on the Billboard 200 this year include Beyoncé's 'Cowboy Carter' (407,000 units), Billie Eilish's 'Hit Me Hard and Soft' (339,000 units), Eminem's 'The Death of Slim Shady [Coup De Grâce]' (281,000 units), and Future and Metro Boomin's 'We Don’t Like You.'
Despite not reaching the quarter-million mark, albums like Stray Kids' 'Ate' (232,000 units) and Ariana Grande's 'Eternal Sunshine' (227,000 units) have also topped the chart this year.
'F-1 Trillion' marks Post Malone's third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, following the success of 'Beerbongs & Bentleys' and 'Hollywood’s Bleeding.' His previous projects, 'Twelve Carat Toothache' and 'Austin,' narrowly missed the top spot.
Post Malone's continued success on the charts highlights his popularity and influence in the music industry, solidifying his position as one of the leading artists of his generation.
