Pomelo, which currently serves Asian cuisine with local Scottish ingredients, will be handing over their establishment for the evening. One of Rita’s recent pop ups, which was held at Dou Dou Bake in Malaysia, gives a glimpse into what the upcoming menu could look like.
Some highlights from her previous menus pop up include chicken liver pate with pickles and sourdough, raw snapper with coconut milk and chilli, and fried polenta with roasted tomatoes and basil - finished off with a hazelnut and praline tiramisu.
With the Edinburgh Festivals coming to an end shortly, September will see local residents enjoying a much calmer city and perhaps looking to slow down a little with some good food. If that’s you, get your reservations in at Pomelo for the pop up - which can be made through Rita’s Instagram page.
