Detectives investigating the murder of a woman in Portadown have arrested a person tonight.
The 25-year-old man was brought into custody this evening, Tuesday March 21. He has been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
A statement from the PSNI late on Tuesday said: "Detectives from the PSNI Major Investigation Team investigating the murder of a 37-year-old woman in the Church Street area of Portadown have arrested a 25-year-old man this evening.

"He has been arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and arson with intent to endanger life.
"He has been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite where he remains in custody for further questioning."
The Church Street community was left in complete shock after the body of the 37-year-old mother was found in the town on Tuesday morning.
Belfast Live understands a 12-year-old child was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure following the tragic incident.
A fire was reported at a house on Church Street at around 2.15am on Tuesday, with all three emergency services tasked to the incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Rachel Wilson said: “We have now launched a murder investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.”
The PSNI is continuing to investigate the woman's murder and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
