Porsche has a plan to bounce back, and it involves a thorough refresh of its lineup. The star of Zuffenhausen’s portfolio will be a new mid-engined hypercar, which we’ll first see as a Mission S concept on October 15. Arguably less exciting but still in the two-door performance car genre, the 718 Boxster and Cayman will return next year as EVs. As we learned yesterday, the gas models are not coming back.
The house of Zuffenhausen is also planning a new gas crossover to replace the Macan in 2028 and is still considering a flagship SUV positioned above the Cayenne. Okay, that’s all well and good, but what about the Porsche? Well, there’s interesting news on the 911 front, too. The Sportwagenschmiede '35 strategy outlined this week at the Capital Markets Day calls for new “highly emotive 911 derivatives.”
