Two popular indoor children's leisure facilities have announced their permanent closure from next week.
The Chapelhall-based DinoM8 softplay centre and adjoining Gravit8 trampoline park will close to customers indefinitely after this weekend.
Bosses also announced the sudden closure of the Black Rooster eaterie and Sugar Sugar dessert takeaway business - all within the same buildingv - on York Road from today (Tuesday, April 19).
It is not known how many staff have been affected by the closures of the four businesses but bosses say the move comes after the building was "sold from under us."
In a Facebook post this morning they announced: "ATTENTION ALL CUSTOMERS.
"Through no fault of our own, due to circumstances outwith our control, it is with great sadness that we announce the permanent closure of DINOM8, GRAVIT8, SUGAR SUGAR AND BLACK ROOSTER Chapelhall as of 25th April 2022.
"Until then Dinom8 will be open every day 10am until 6pm.
"Gravit8 will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week only.
"Black Rooster and Sugar Sugar will remain closed.
"We hope to see you and your family in the coming days and would like to thank you all for your support and custom over the years."
Hundreds of customers rushed to show their support and love of the businesses with many being left disappointed at the news.
Dozens posted how much their children adored the facility with some speculating if the pandemic had caused the closure prompting bosses to further announce the reason behind the imminent shutdown of the busy and popular businesses.
On DinoM8's original Facebook post they later revealed: "Thank you for your kind words but our business is booming - unfortunately our building has been sold from under us due to crazy prices of industrial property and as it’s the pharmaceutical company next door we were bidding against we had no chance.
"Our livelihood has been destroyed through no fault of our own and the families who frequented us are losing a great facility."
Back in 2018 staff at DinoM8 were jumping for joy after being crowned Scotland’s best soft play facility.
There was ‘raptor-ous’ applause as the indoor journey back to the time of the dinosaurs was honoured with the top accolade at the Scottish Hospitality Awards.
Located just off the M8, on York Road, DinoM8 lets kids “run wild in the labyrinth of tunnels, slides, bridges and climbing frames in a Jurassic-themed world of adventure”.
Both DinoM8 and Gravit8 have proved hugely popular over the years with visitors from across the country attending the fun children's attraction.
