A popular Glasgow steak restaurant has announced its debut appearance at Edinburgh Fringe Festival for one day only this August.
Chateau-X, which opened in Glasgow in December 2021 and quickly became one of the city's well-loved dining spots, will be opening a pop-up at the capital's premium venue - Six by Nico at 97 Hanover Street - on August 9.
The ultimate dining experience that the steak restaurant aims to bring to the capital is one of many gourmet surprises this year's Fringe is delivering.

Most importantly, Chateau-X is dedicated to making dining with them affordable by offering their signature Aged Prime Beef Chateaubriand for two for just £35. And there is an option to add a scoop of fresh ice cream for dessert for only £1.
The signature steak will be served with a Half Roasted Tomato, Flat Cap Mushrooms, Watercress salad and one of four sauces on offer. A variety of sides will also be available, including Hand Cut Rooster Skinny Fries, Truffle Mac and Cheese, XO Broccoli with Cashew and Sesame Dressing, Beef Dripping Carrots, Heirloom Tomato Panzanella Salad and Roasted Pumpkin with Parmesan and Red Pepper Trapanese Pesto.
Andy Temple, Chief Creative Officer at Six by Nico Restaurant Group, said: "Chateau-X has been a huge success in Glasgow, so it seemed only natural to give Edinburgh diners a taste of what they're missing.
"Chateau-X will only serve our signature Chateaubriand, with an emphasis on quality, flair, and affordability, all of which have become synonymous with the Six by Nico restaurant group."
The pop-up will stay in Edinburgh for one day only on August 9, from 12pm to 11pm, and while walk-ins will be welcomed, bookings are highly recommended to avoid disappointment.
