A FAMILY farm park in southern Scotland has been put up for sale.
Christie & Co is handling the sale of Mabie Farm & Lodge Park just outside Dumfries.
Nestled beneath the Mabie Forest and with views over the Solway Firth, the former dairy farm “captures the real essence and feel of an original working farm”.
The site features a petting zoo, a large café for refreshments and a range of outdoor activity areas, including a boating pond and barbecue areas.
There is also full planning permission for 10 holiday lodge plots to the north of the farm and visitor attraction.
Christie & Co said key highlights include:
- A family park set on a former 77—hectare dairy farm
- Attractions including animal paddocks, a petting zoo, play barn, boating pond, astroslide, pedal go karts, grass slides, play park, trampolines, café and gift shop
- Planning permission for 10 holiday lodges onsite
- Four and five bed dwellings included in sale
Associate director of Christie & Co Mark Lavery, who is handling the sale, said: “Mabie Farm & Lodge Park offers various growth opportunities to any potential buyer.
“The business could be developed to include a larger main reception area expanding the gift section.
“The café offering could be expanded to include longer opening hours along with more local suppliers and products.
“The addition of 10 holiday lodges could provide an additional lucrative income stream for any buyer.”
