Popular Edinburgh LEGO exhibition to return this year with activities and tombola

Edinburgh will see the return of its much loved Edinbrick LEGO event for an in-person event this year, with huge displays, activities and the much-loved tombola.

The event will be held at Potterrow, Bristo Square, on May 14, with all proceeds raised going to Fairy Bricks, a charity that helps the lives of sick kids in Scotland by using LEGO.

The event will return for the first time since 2019, due to the Covid pandemic, but organisers are hoping that the display will run as smoothly as previous years.

There will be new models on display and of course, LEGO will be on sale for those who feel like attempting to build their own figures to show off.

Tickets are priced at just £3 per person, giving kids and families the ideal day out to enjoy and join the action.

In previous years, some of the most impressive displays included one of Edinburgh Castle, as well as tributes to both Lord of the Rings and Ghostbusters.

Due to a huge demand since tickets went on sale, the event is currently sold out, although the team announced yesterday, March 8, that they are exploring ways in which they can increase the capacity and they do expect cancellations before the event.

They also noted that due to Covid restrictions, they may not be able to provide build tables this year, but the 'everyone's a winner' tombola and the Minifig hunt will return.

The event runs from 10:30am until 4pm, with 'quiet time' tickets also being available for those who have issues with crowds and loud noise.
