One of the city’s most popular cycling shops is expanding, launching a third shop in Edinburgh.
The Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative have opened their Stockbridge store on Hamilton Place, the sixth outlet across the whole of the UK. Unlike others, it will exclusively stock Giant, Liv and Momentum bike brands.
As is the case across the stores, customers will have the opportunity to test ride their bike and receive a free 6-week and 12-month post-purchase bike service. Since it was founded in 1977, the Edinburgh Bicycle Coop has been an employee-owner cooperative with all members having an equal share in profits.

Since then, they’d expanded to six stores across Scotland and Northern England including Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Newcastle and Leeds. The Hamilton Place outlet is open now, with their official launch weekend on February 4 and 5, with interactive activities and exclusive offers.

You can also meet the new team, test ride bikes, and compete in exciting competitions. The store also offers a full in-store service and repair and workshop to look after and maintain bikes at all times.
The Stockbridge spot is open 7 days a week, 9am until 6pm midweek and 10am and 6pm at the weekend. You can find out more here.
