Popular Edinburgh cafe launch new burger bar with 'loaded chips' menu

An Edinburgh cafe have launched their latest venture as their new fast food bar opens its doors to locals.

Cafe Vigo in Corstorphine have been known for years as a popular spot to grab lunch, coffee or a cake, with the business always seeing a host of five-star reviews.

Riding on their success, the cafe have announced that they have opened up a new sister venue, 'Vigo Express', which will be operating just along the street at 82 St John's Road.

Welcoming customers in from last week, the new express 'fast food' bar has already began to prove popular, with the eatery offering a different menu to the cafe's classics.

Currently, the menu consists of a selection of burgers and loaded fries, with a small section to eat-in, however most orders will be made to takeaway.

Offering different types of patties, customers can choose from a variety of options, including the 'Philly Steak Burger' with Angus beef, Philly-style steak and melted cheese.

A 'Hot Mexican' burger is also available, as well as a 'veggie and halloumi' burger and even a gluten free beef burger for those with dietary requirements.

An entire menu has also been made dedicated to 'Loaded Chips', including the 'Chicken Curry Loaded Box', containing chips with melted cheese, chicken bites, curry sauce and jalapenos.

Speaking on social media last week, the cafe said: "We are happy to announce that Vigo Express will be open on Friday November 4.

"We are Cafe Vigo’s sister branch. We are excited to see you, come along and try our delicious food."
