A popular Channel 4 gameshow has been axed after two seasons despite being a hit with viewers, according to reports.
The Sun says Moneybags, fronted by Craig Charles, will not be renewed for a third series. An insider said: “Moneybags has a really big and loyal fan base and having Craig on board just made it perfect."
The show was commissioned by Channel 4 in 2021 first airing at 3pm before moving to 5pm.
Last month, Youngest Media, who produce the show, closed down, reports The Sun.
The show allowed contestants to win hundreds of thousands of pounds by answering general knowledge questions and selecting bags possibly representing cash prizes from a conveyor belt.
Craig Charles could be set for a return as Dave Lister in comedy series Red Dwarf after a new agreement was recently reached over the rights to the show.
