"It's upsetting and obviously we're not the only ones in the area that has closed down - Early Bird has gone, two coffee shops from the top of the road have gone, everything is just closing down and I guess making way for the new era of coffee shops and cafés."

"I started here as a student and I have a lot of memories of this place," he said.

"This was a very 'student café', but we would get customers who used to be students coming here and saying that they would come here every weekend for a hangover coffee.

"It was nice seeing people like that. We'd have a few who would come here for a coffee on their way to work. There was a real sense of community here.

"I hope people won't forget about us and remember all the lovely breakfasts they had here."
