Popular Ayrshire restaurant closes for day after key member of team 'hurt'

A popular Ayrshire restaurant has closed its doors for the day after a key member of the their team hurt themselves.

The Laird's Table in Fenwick announced that their eaterie would remain closed for today (Tuesday) but insisted that the member of staff was not seriously injured.

They posted on Facebook: "We have taken the decision to close on September 20, as a key member of our team has hurt themselves, (they are ok).

"This is to ensure our staff's welfare and guarantee that they get the time off they are entitled to."
