The frontman of an iconic 2000s band has opened up on his alcoholism, saying that he “could have died so many times”.
During an appearance on Matt Willis’ On The Mend podcast, Scouting for Girls frontman Roy Stride discussed his 25-year-long addiction which he described as his “secret life”.
“There were probably five or six occasions where I was lucky not to die,” the She’s So Lovely singer candidly told Willis.
He added: “The worst part for me was the drinking after those nights out... It was the solo secret drinking that went on after the tour or at home that became more of a problem really.”
