Popular 2000s boyband Busted take to social media after backlash over lack of Irish date in reunion tour

Fans of one of the UK's most popular boybands were left disappointed after noticing that both Belfast and Dublin have been left out as venues for a big new tour.

The 2000s band Busted are doing 15-date reunion tour and are releasing a new album, but fans in Northern Ireland as well as Ireland's capital have been left without a venue on their turf, Belfast Live reported.

With chart-busting hits such as Year 3000 and Crashed the Wedding, the trio told The Mirror that this tour could be their final one as they "can't guarantee" a second reunion tour.

The Essex group, consisting of James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson, has sold over 5 million records.

While there is no hint of new dates being added on Ticketmaster just yet, cries of annoyance have been coming in and Busted has taken to social media to joke with fans surrounding the backlash.

James Bourne teased about the lack of shows on TikTok, joining in on a viral trend that shows a filter of a person running from police. The video is being played over the top of Sophie Ellis Bexter's classic 'Murder on the Dancefloor.'

With the caption "If not announcing tour dates in Dublin and Belfast was illegal", the video has more than 118k views and over 8,000 likes.

Fans demanded that the band come to Belfast and are hoping that the video means dates will be added very soon.

One person said, "Heartbroken would be an understatement... I just want to re-live my early 2000 first ever concert experience".

Another wrote: "Feel like this should be an unofficial announcement that you are in fact going to announce a Dublin and Belfast tour date".
