Lewis Capaldi is no stranger to entertaining fans in their tens of thousands, but the singer delighted on stage in a very different manner at the 2023 World Darts Championship.
The Scottish superstar rocked up at Alexandra Palace on Friday and left fans in stitches after taking his own turn at the oche. But not before he performed his own entrance walk and planted a kiss on former One Direction singer Niall Horan along the way.
And it wasn't just the fans who enjoyed the experience after Capaldi called the experience 'the most fund he's had with trousers on' in 2022. Spectators chanted the 26-year-old's name after he won a one-off nine-dart challenge before getting into the WDC spirit by stripping his Christmas jumper.

"I stink of B.O. [body odour]," Capaldi told Sky Sports. "But I don't imagine I'm the only person [at Alexandra Palace] who stinks of B.O., I'm blending in quite well. It's great fun! Lots of camaraderie, lots of smiles, lots of high-fives. It's electric in here."
When asked about his walk-on and ensuing turn at the oche, the 'Someone You Loved' singer said it was 'everything he hoped it would be, and more.' "If I could be quite honest with you, without being crass, it's the most fun I've had this year with my trousers on," added the Glasgow native.
Capaldi has won over legions of fans in recent years, and his 2019 album, 'Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent', has been certified platinum four times over. However, the Scot is adored for his personality as much as he is for his signing.
The music video for September release 'Forget Me' paid homage to Wham! hit 'Club Tropicana' and featured Capaldi in nothing but a white set of speedos. Not one to miss an opportunity, he also made sure to plug his new single 'Pointless' as he signed off with Sky Sports.
"I got caught up in the moment, and I had to disrobe [and] throw it into the crowd," Capaldi continued when quizzed about his on-stage strip. "I was feeding off the energy, it was exceptional, a beautiful thing."
Capaldi was in attendance for Friday's evening session as Adrian Lewis beat Daniel Larsson 3-0 to set up a second-round clash against Damon Heta. No. 31 seed Kim Huybrechts also swept South African Grant Sampson and will take on defending champion Peter Wright in the next stage.
