The New England Patriots and New York Jets will face off on Sunday in a rematch of their Week 3 matchup.
For New England, this will be an opportunity for the team to avenge a previous loss and get back into the win column after losing six straight games.
The Patriots are struggling on both sides of the ball, and this game could be an opportunity for them to get back on track.
They are coming off a 32-16 loss at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars last week. There were some positives from the game with rookie quarterback Drake Maye continuing to perform well. He went 26-of-37 passing for 276 yards and two touchdowns in the game. He was also the team’s leading rusher with three carries for 18 yards.
Tight end Hunter Henry took care of business on the receiving end. He caught eight passes for 92 yards on the day.
Meanwhile, the Jets are coming off a 37-15 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Aaron Rodgers struggled in the game, going 24-of-39 passing for 276 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. If there was a bright spot for the Jets last Sunday, it was the play of running back Breece Hall, who had 12 carries for 38 yards and a touchdown, as well as six catches for 103 yards.
The last time these two teams met was on Thursday Night Football back in September, and the Jets were victorious by a 24-3 margin. The Jets had over 400 yards of total offense, including 133 rushing yards.
All told, the Patriots still hold the series edge. They hold a 74-56-1 record all-time against the Jets. Both teams have their own issues, but a Patriots-Jets rivalry game always provides excitement regardless of where the teams are at in their respective seasons.
