The Atlanta Falcons will hold their third training camp practice this Saturday evening at Seckinger High School in Buford, Georgia. It’s the first of two open practice dates on the team’s 2024 training camp schedule. Fans attending can get in free of charge starting at 6 p.m. ET Saturday.
Thus far, the Falcons offense has moved the ball well but it will take some time before we can fairly assess the team’s strengths and weaknesses. On paper, this defense has some question marks in the secondary and at the edge-rusher position.
We asked our readers to identify the position group they are most concerned about as training camp kicks off. Check out the results of our latest Falcons fan poll below:
As you can see, fans felt the edge rusher and cornerback spots were the top remaining concerns. The Falcons dedicated most of their offseason resources to overhauling the quarterback position, which was easily their greatest weakness over the last few seasons.
The downside of this strategy is that it forced the team to neglect other spots on the roster. However, as history has shown, a potent offense can cover up for a lot in this league. The Falcons offense should be among the NFL’s best in 2024.
