Scotland's police watchdog has been ordered to carry out an investigation into the death of Marelle Sturrock.
The 35-year-old teacher, who was 28 weeks pregnant, was found dead at her home on Jura Street in Glasgow on Tuesday, April 25. Her partner David Yates, was wanted in connection with her murder.
A body was discovered in Mugdock Reservoir on Thursday evening and has been formally identified as the 36-year-old.
The PIRC statement said: "The Crown Office and the Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) has instructed the PIRC to carry out an investigation into the death of Marelle Sturrock on 25 April 2023 within 91 Jura Street, Glasgow.
"Once our enquiries are complete a report will be submitted to COPFS.”
