Police have issued a warning over parking in Holywood after a 90-year-old man died falling from a mobility scooter after being forced on to the road.
A number of cars along the Belfast Road in Holywood received fixed penalty notices on Saturday after police found that the vehicles were blocking the footpath.
It comes weeks after a 90-year-old man died in hospital from injuries received after falling from a mobility scooter on this section of the road.

While issuing the FPNs to the vehicles, police assisted another member of the public using a mobility scooter was forced onto the road, putting them in danger of other vehicles.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Recently, a 90 year old local man lost his life after being forced onto the road on his mobility scooter due to irresponsible and inconsiderate parking on the Belfast Road, Holywood. The mobility scooter toppled over causing this male to sustain a broken hip. He lost his life a couple of days later.
"Police were in attendance today only to find exactly the same issue. As you can see from the photos, we had to assist a member of the public who was forced on to the road as their route was blocked due to cars parked irresponsibly and blocking the footpath.
"In doing so, the mobility scooter was forced onto the road putting it in direct danger from moving vehicles. The same would apply to wheelchair users or families with children in prams.
"All vehicles received a fixed penalty fine.
"Local schools and sports clubs are doing their best to address the issue. As you can see, Holywood Rugby Club has used cones and signage in an attempt to address the issue.
"This only goes so far, however, as the primary focus should remain on those drivers who selfishly and irresponsibly continue to park in such a way as to put pedestrians in danger."
