Police warn there's 'no hiding place' after wanted man tracked down

Merseyside Police warned "there is no hiding place" for criminals after a wanted man was tracked down.

A manhunt was initiated for Birkenhead man Ryan Blackburn after he breached his license conditions following a jail sentence earlier this year. Extensive efforts were made by officers to locate Blackburn and an appeal for information was circulated around Merseyside.

The 33-year-old was tracked to an address in Seacombe. At around 1pm yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, December 13 officers detained and arrested Blackburn.

Chief Inspector Tom Welch, of Merseyside Police, said: "I hope this arrest shows that there is no hiding place for anyone who is evading police. Thanks to a thorough investigation conducted by our officers Ryan Blackburn has been located and arrested by police.

"These actions are about stopping anyone who could cause fear and harm in our community and we will leave no stone unturned to find people who are wanted – either in connection with ongoing investigations or when they have their licence revoked."
