Police want anyone with information about a 2000 White Isuzu truck connected to the murder investigation of a Bribie Island woman to come forward.

Bongaree woman Janet Guthrie, 51, was found dead at her home just before 9pm last Thursday while officers conducted a welfare check.

Detective Inspector Ben Fadian has appealed for CCTV or dashcam footage from members of the public in relation to the truck utility's movements on Wednesday February 15, a day before Ms Guthrie's body was found.

The vehicle has Queensland registration 170ZBA, Detective Inspector Fadian said.

He confirmed police had spoken to the owner of the vehicle, a 47-year-old male, in connection to the death but would not reveal more information about the investigation.

"We're aware of who owns that vehicle, we've spoken to that person and they've provided information to us," he said.

The vehicle was seen at Bongaree around 5pm on February 15 and later at the Aldi store at Bribie Island.

Later in the evening it travelled to the mainland and was sighted at Beachmere and Margate.

"We're appealing to members of the public today who were in those locations at the time to review the dashcam footage that they may have or CCTV footage and to please contact Crime Stoppers with that information," Detective Inspector Fadian said.

He said police had scoured hundreds of hours of CCTV vision and were being assisted by the SES, the dog squad and police forensic units who were helping to search the area.

Disturbance the night before incident

A police detective said there had been reports of a disturbance at Ms Guthrie's residence on Wednesday night.

Police had also been called to the property the week before.

Ms Guthrie's daughter Tiahni Guthrie paid tribute to her mother on social media.

"Forever and always my number one I love you mumma," she said.

A fundraising page has been set up for Ms Guthrie's two daughters.
