Police uncover large Bolton cannabis farm after reports from public

Police have shut down a 'large' cannabis farm in Bolton following a raid this morning (Sunday October 2).

One man has been arrested in connection with the discovery on Beaumont Chase. Police say they were alerted to the farm following reports from the public, and thanked people for coming forwards.

Posting on their Facebook page this afternoon, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) shared images of the cannabis and encouraged people to continue reporting suspicious activity.

A 'large' amount of cannabis and cannabis plants were reportedly seized from the property. Images show a number of cannabis plants in an inuslated room, as well as other plants drying.

In a Facebook post, GMP said: "The Rumworth Neighbourhood Team completed a Drugs Warrant this morning on Beaumont Chase following reports of a potential cannabis farm. This resulted in a large amount of cannabis and cannabis plants being seized from the property and one male arrested.

"Thank-you to the members of public that continue to report suspicious activity in your area!
