Officers have targeted selfish and "inconsiderate" drivers as thousands descend on Merseyside's coastline.
Merseyside's beaches are known for attracting visitors when the warm weather makes a rare appearance, and with that comes a number of issues surrounding parking. The weekend has already seen miles of queues for beach car parks, and now police are making an effort to punish those who decide to abandon the car while they head to the beach.
Merseyside Police's Roads Policing Unit took to Twitter to want people that their dubious parking might land them with a fine as well as urging drivers to think about others when parking whatever vehicle they have.
