Police swarm street, driver arrested after crashing into parked car

A driver has been arrested after allegedly attempting to flee from police and hitting a parked car in Newcastle.

A police spokesman said police had tried to stop a vehicle about 8.20am on Wednesday, September 23, in the Broadmeadow area when the driver allegedly tried to take off.
