West Yorkshire Police have issued a statement after a 'hand grenade' was found at a Seacroft home as cops stormed the house.
Police taped off the junction of Ramshead Approach and Ramshead Drive at around 12.55pm after an object, believed to be a hand grenade, was found by officers as they searched the home. The bomb squad was also called to the scene and Eastdean Road was closed.
The tape remained in place for several hours while an investigation took place. The bomb squad arrived and deemed the device to be of no threat.

West Yorkshire Police issued a statement on the cordon earlier today, a spokesperson said: "At 12.55pm today (Thursday) an object believed to be a hand grenade was found by officers executing a warrant at an address in Seacroft. A cordon is in place and road closures are on at the junction of Ramshead Approach and Ramshead Drive, as well as Ramshead Drive and Eastdean Road. EOD are attending to make a further assessment."
The EOD deemed that the device posed no threat and roads were reopened at around 4.30pm. In an updated statement, the force said: "At 12.55pm today (Thursday) an object believed to be a hand grenade was found by officers executing a warrant at an address in Seacroft.
"A cordon was put in place and road closures were made at the junction of Ramshead Approach and Ramshead Drive, as well as Ramshead Drive and Eastdean Road. The object has been examined and it has been established that the item poses no threat.
"Police cordons have now been lifted and the incident has safely concluded."
