Police statement after air ambulance called to serious Nottingham crash near A52

Nottinghamshire Police have issued an update after a serious crash just off the A52. Police were called to the crash just after 9pm on Thursday, June 15 after reports that a car had collided with a road sign.

Nottinghamshire Police attended the scene to carry out collision investigation work and the road was reopened in the early hours of the morning. The incident was also attended by the air ambulance.

Sergeant Steve Waft, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Emergency services were called to Redfield Way, Nottingham, at around 9.10pm on Thursday (15 June) following reports of a road traffic collision.

"One car was in collision with a road sign and a woman, aged in her 40s, was taken to hospital where her condition is described as stable. Police helped to make the scene safe and the road reopened to traffic at around 2.45am on Friday.

"We would like to thank other motorists for their patience and understanding.”
