Police "smashed the door to bits" during a raid at a cannabis farm.

Merseyside Police confirmed officers arrested a man after a house was raided on Ampthill Road, Aigburth. A number of growing rooms with cannabis were found in the terraced house during the raid at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, November 29.

A 40-year-old man from Aigburth was arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation and abstracting electricity. He remains in custody. The Merseyside Police cannabis dismantling team attended the scene today to seize a total of 246 plants and equipment across five rooms.
