A person has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being by a car in Leeds.
Police were called early on Thursday (March 13) morning to reports a pedestrian was hit by a car on Dewsbury Road, Leeds. The road is closed, including the slip road exit at junction three M621.
Emergency services and traffic officers are working at the scene. Drivers have been asked to use alternative routes and allow extra time for travel this morning.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called at 5.43am this morning (Thursday, 13 April) to a report of a serious injury collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Dewsbury Road, Leeds.
"One person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following the collision. The road has been closed at this time, which includes closing the exit slip road at junction 3 of the M621."
INRIX traffic service reports: "M621 Westbound exit slip road closed, queueing traffic due to accident at J3 A653 Dewsbury Road (City Centre). Congestion to J6 (Belle Isle Road). Queues are from the westbound exit slip road at J2A as traffic leaves the motorway."
There is queuing traffic due to the accident and congestion at junction 6 Belle Isle Road. This is due to traffic leaving the motorway.
