Police seize Katie Price's phone as her family urge her to go back to rehab

Katie Price's phone has been seized by police, as officers investigate threats the former model is alleged to have made to her ex's new partner.

Her family have also urged her to go back to rehab, as her latest crisis makes headlines.

Police probing threats Price allegedly made to Kieran Haylor’s fiancée have confiscated her mobile to look for evidence.

Officers want to build up a “fuller picture” of any abusive messages Price has been accused of sending to Michelle Penticost.

Katie Price was arrested at teatime on Friday (January 21) and driven 12 miles from her luxury home in Horsham to Worthing police station, West Sussex.

Sources say she broke down in tears when Sussex Police took away her phone during the 12-hour interrogation before being released on Saturday afternoon, The Mirror report.

A source said: “She was informed it had been seized for evidence and cops gave no indication if it would be returned. She was distraught.”

Katie could serve a prison sentence after allegedly breaching a restraining order banning her from contacting Michelle.

She is said to have sent a deeply offensive message about Michelle to Kieran. She is currently banned from contacting Michelle “directly or indirectly”.

She is already serving a suspended sentence for drink-driving.

And any restraining order breach could also violate the terms of the suspended sentence - meaning a possible jail stretch.

Police interviewed Kieran, 34, and 39-year-old Michelle at their home before taking Katie into custody.

It comes as Katie’s family are increasingly worried about her erratic behaviour and are urging her to seek help.

She has previously undergone treatment at The Priory - a famous rehab centre used by celebs - for depression.

And they want her to return to “sort her head out”.

A source said: “Her life is just so chaotic and all over the place. She needs a period of recalibration and rehab is the best option, currently.”

The arrest comes four months after mum-of-five Katie, 43, flipped her car - at 6.20am on September 28.

She pleaded guilty to drink-driving, having no insurance and breaching a roads ban.

The one-time I’m A Celebrity star appeared before Crawley magistrates last month.

She was given 100 hours of community service, a two-year driving ban and a 16-week jail sentence - suspended for 12 months.

It was her sixth driving offence in a decade.

Katie - now engaged to Carl Woods, 32 - wed Kieran, 34, in 2013 but they split after it emerged he cheated on her.

He met Michelle at the school her son and his kids with Katie attend.

Katie appeared in court in 2019 after a foul-mouthed tirade at the school gates.

Michelle - who now has a baby son with Kieran - was previously granted a five-year restraining order against Katie.

The star admitted using threatening and abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment.

In a victim statement at the time, Michelle said: “It is clear Miss Price has been poisoning their children’s view of me - saying I’m fat, I have a big a**e, that I hate mummy [Price].

"I’m anxious I may still see her and I just want to get outside the school as soon as possible.”
