Fake World Cup shirts worth £18.5million seized in huge crackdown led by London police

Counterfeit World Cup football shirts and kits worth more than £18 million have been seized in an operation led by London police.

Officers have removed more them 220,000 fake shirts from sale since January 2026 in the nationwide enforcement operation directed by the City of London Police’s Pipcu squad (Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit).
