Police are seeking information after a man was allegedly stabbed by a 16-year-old boy in Charnwood.
It is alleged at about 5.10pm on October 23, a man was approached by a group of about 10 teenagers as he neared an underpass at Cartwright Street, Charnwood.
Following a short argument between the group and the man, a 16-year-old boy allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the man in his hand and shoulder.
The group fled the area before officers arrived, while the alleged victim was helped by members of the public. He was taken to hospital a short time later with serious injuries.
Last week, police searched the 16-year-old boy's home where he was then arrested. He has been charged with recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm.
Police have already spoken to several witnesses. However, they would still like to speak to anyone else who witnessed the incident who has not yet spoken to police. This includes anyone with information regarding the identity of others in the group involved.
The group is believed to have arrived in the area of Charnwood Shops as early as 4pm on the day in question.
