Large vacuum bags full of ketamine were found after police searched a house.
Officers went to the address after a person attended Huyton police station on Wednesday to report a stolen camera lens was being sold privately online. Police then traced the item to a house and searched the property.
Over 80 suspected stolen items were found at the address, such as expensive power tools. Officers also uncovered nine large vacuum packed bags of ketamine in the property. A 34-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply, handling stolen goods and theft from a motor vehicle.

They were taken to a police station in Merseyside where they both remain in custody.
Superintendent for Knowsley, Karl Baldwin said: “Within hours of our officers knowing of the stolen lens online an address had been traced and searched in Huyton with two arrests made. I would like to thank the member of the public who came forward with the information and our officers who acted so quickly to get justice for the victim, as well as numerous other victims, who we will trace in the coming days.
“The stolen camera lens was a very expensive piece of equipment and we were delighted to be able to return it to the victim who uses the equipment for work. We’ll be contacting any victims of the stolen items whilst we continue our investigations.
“If you have any information about stolen items online or suspected drugs in your area please contact us so we can take action against criminals and get them off our streets.”
