Police searching for parents of baby girl abandoned in NYC’s Times Square

Times Square Police

A six-month-old baby girl was discovered abandoned in Times Square, New York, late on Tuesday night.
Police responded to a 911 call and found the child alone in a pram near West 44th Street and Seventh Avenue.
The baby was conscious and alert and was subsequently taken to Northwell Greenwich Village Hospital for evaluation.
Investigators are searching for a man believed to be the baby's father, who was last seen with the child and is known to frequent the Times Square area.
The investigation is ongoing, with no arrests made; abandoning a child under 14 is a felony in New York, and the state's Abandoned Infant Protection Act does not apply to a six-month-old.
