Police search for missing East Kilbride woman with auburn hair and white Kia car

Police have launched a search for a 54-year-old woman missing from East Kilbride since early yesterday evening.

Rachel Allison is believed to be driving her White Kia Stonic, registration number LG18 JGY and hasn't been seen since 6.30pm.

She is described as 5ft 6ins in height, white, with shoulder length auburn hair and officers are anxious to speak to anyone who may have spotted her or her car.

Sergeant Gary Mackie, from East Kilbride police office, said": "Officers have been carrying out significant enquiries since Rachel was reported missing but so far she has not been located and no one has confirmed any sightings of her since leaving home.

"We would like to appeal to anyone who may be able to provide is with any information regarding Rachel’s whereabouts or potential sightings that will assist us in tracing her.

"I would also ask Rachel herself to get in contact with friends, family, support services or the police.”

Call police on 101 if you have information that can help locate Rachel.
