A MAN has died after emergency services were called to one of Glasgow's busiest shopping streets this morning.
Police and Ambulance crews were called his side outside the Boots pharmacy on Sauchiehall Street around 9.04am where he was pronounced dead.
The store promptly closed to customers, turning shoppers away while police taped off a section of the shopfront.
It is understood that specialist CID officers were outside the retailer carrying out their investigation.
Police did not provide any further details on the age or identity of the man.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.10am on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, we received a report of concern for a man at Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead. Enquiries are ongoing.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We received a call at 09:04 to attend an incident on Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.
"An ambulance, a paramedic response car, a critical care paramedic and a first responder were dispatched to the scene.”
