POLICE are looking for witnesses after a car was set alight in North Lanarkshire on Christmas Eve.
Shortly after 2am on Sunday, a white Skoda Octavia car was set on fire at a car park in the Burns Road area of Cumbernauld.
Police Scotland said two men were seen in the area at the time, and that they made off in the direction of North Carbrain Road.
Officers described the men wearing dark clothing, with one of the men carrying a white plastic carrier bag.
Detective Constable Craig Hartley said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage or private CCTV that could help with our enquiries.
“We are also looking to speak to the men seen at the time or anyone who knows who they are or where they went.
