Police say they have recovered a body in the search for a missing 15-year-old boy last seen near the River Trent. Lincolnshire Police announced the tragic news on Friday afternoon, May 26.
Oliwier was first reported missing on Monday evening [May 22] with police stating he was last seen near the Flood Road bridge in Gainsborough. A few days later, a body was found around 300m from the bridge.
Police remain at the scene and say they have begun the "difficult process" of removing the body - no formal identification has yet been carried out. There had been huge support from the local community, which included search parties organised by local residents, who had been walking along the footpaths on the river banks.
