A police officer has been punched in the face after masked demonstrators became “aggressive” following an anti-asylum protest, the Metropolitan Police said.
Protesters on both sides of the divide over the UK’s migration policies gathered outside a hotel in Canary Wharf, east London, on Sunday afternoon.
