A police officer was treated for minor injury injuries after a car crash involving Leeds player Charlie Cresswell outside Elland Road, on the morning of his team’s Championship play-off semi-final showdown with Norwich.
Cresswell, 21, was unharmed in the collision near the West Stand entry gate and is reportedly available to play in tonight’s second leg tie, having been an unused substitute in last week’s reverse fixture.
Emergency services were called to the scene after Cresswell’s Land Rover Defender was involved in a collision with a police car.
Pictures on social media showed damage to the left side of the police vehicle with the Land Rover appearing to be relatively unscathed.

A West Yorkshire Police statement read: “At 10.13am, police were notified of a collision involving a police car and a Land Rover Defender on Elland Road, Leeds.
“An officer received medical treatment for minor injuries. No other injuries were reported. Enquiries are ongoing.”
Leeds are bidding for an immediate return to the Premier League via the play-offs after finishing third in the table behind Leicester and Ipswich. Tonight’s tie starts with the aggregate score goalless following the first-leg draw in Norwich.
Cresswell, who progressed through Leeds' academy, has made seven appearances in all competitions this season, four of them off the bench.
